We are a private club and all the maintenance of the green, green surround, pavilion and hedging is paid for by our members subscriptions and fund raising activities.

In order to keep the costs to a minimum, we have a members volunteer team, without whom, the cost of maintaining the green and site would be prohibitive.

We are very grateful to these members who give up so much of their time in order to keep the Club premises in first class condition

Bert Watkinson has been looking after our Green since 1988.

He was chosen from the membership by his enthusiasm and his qualification of having a B.Sc.(Hort).

He attended seminars at the Welsh College of Horticulture on Bowling Green Maintenance and over most of the period he has looked after the green.

He operated in tandem with Norman Bentley, a qualified Engineer, now a life member of the club.
